Finding the Right Balance
Over-cleaning can wear out fibers, while under-cleaning allows dirt and oils to damage the fabric. Here is a general guide for the average wardrobe.
Suits and Blazers
Unless you spill something, suits usually only need dry cleaning after 3–5 wears. Brush them after each use and hang them properly to let the fibers breathe.
Winter Coats
Wool coats should typically be dry cleaned twice a year: once at the start of the season and once before you put them into storage for the summer.
Formal Wear
Dresses and evening wear should be cleaned after every use, as sweat and perfume can settle into the fabric and cause discoloration if left for too long.
